Choose your vehicle
One of the great things about a road trip is that there are so many different ways you can go about it. You can visit the Yorkshire coast by car or even train. The latter, being a more popular option, will give you the opportunity to enjoy views from the window and indulge in some quality reading time.
However, if you want to stay on top of things, then there's no need for concern as camper vans offer plenty of comfort and space for all your needs too. Camper vans are also perfect for road trips with kids because they are spacious and accommodating, meaning everyone has enough room to stretch out!

Plan your stops
1) Research before you set off on nearby coffee shops, places to stretch your legs, and places to stop for lunch.
2) You should have a spare tire, a jack and a first aid kit in your car with you at all times.
3) Be sure to pack an emergency bag in case of emergencies, such as getting stranded or spending the night on the side of the road.
4) Check your car tires before you set off on any trip.
5) Be sure to carry plenty of water while travelling, especially if it's hot outside or during summertime.
6) If you feel unsafe at any point while driving, pull over and call for help immediately.
Drive safely
The rural roads of Yorkshire are a perfect opportunity for a road trip or staycation. However, you need to be careful as there are high gradients and narrow roads with cyclists in summer and frost slippy on winter days. Check hill gradients as it can be easy to miss them when driving up and down, slow down during winter as frost slippy and keep your eyes peeled for cyclists on narrow roads.
