The New Stretch of Path

This is the first stretch of the King Charles III England Coast Path to open following the King's coronation and is set to span an impressive 2,700 miles in total once complete. Delivered by Natural England, the new path is designed to be accessible for all, with options for shorter and longer walks depending on your preferences and giving easy access for everyone.

Whether you're a seasoned hiker or just looking for a scenic stroll, this new coastal path will surely delight you. So lace up your hiking boots, pack a picnic, and hit the trail to see some of England's best coastal views.

The Sights of the Path

Beginning north of Bridlington in Wilsthorpe, near the Coast Guard Station, the path takes visitors past Sewerby Hall, a Grade I listed Georgian country house and along a 19th Century Promenade. Next, it carries onto the stunning chalky cliffs of Flamborough Head, complete with smugglers' coves and spectacular sea stacks, before arriving at the two lighthouses of Flamborough.

The path continues to Bempton Cliffs, home to half a million nesting seabirds each year, including Puffins, gannets and kittiwakes; the RSPB viewing platforms provide optimal viewpoints to observe the abundance of wildlife safely along the way. Finishing at Filey Brigg, this superb peninsula offers unrivalled views both north and south and concludes the new section of the path.
