Things To Do This Holiday Season

There’s nothing worse than waiting to enjoy your holidays only to be bored with nothing to do, and we’ve all been there. 2022 is drawing to a close, and it’s time to have some fun, embark on an adventure, and make some final memories for the year.

NYE Party with Live Band: Friday Street & Disco

Head over to The Mayfield Seamer to bring in the new year surrounded by live music, dancing, and drinks. Friday Street with be performing live to bring you a night worth remembering to celebrate the start of a brand-new year. Make sure you bring your dancing shoes.  

Disney Afternoon Christmas 

 For all our Disney fans out there, this one is for you. The Belle Vue is hosting a Disney Afternoon Christmas full of quizzes, family fortunes, card bingo, music bingo games, and prizes to be won. And the best part, it’s also free to play. Oh, and don’t forget to wear your favourite Disney outfit. 

Yorkshire Winter Illuminations

 Visit Stockeld Park’s Enchanted Forest to experience its magical winter illuminations. Enter a winter wonderland that captures the magic of Christmas. Stockeld Park offers the largest light festival in the country, which is pretty impressive. 

Set on the historic Stockeld Park Estate grounds, the forest is decorated with lights creating a magical experience for everyone to enjoy. The forest holds four adventure playgrounds full of fun and excitement. You can search for hidden activities, including Russel, the talking tree and their giant teapot slide. There is no way you could run out of things to do. 

Winter At Flamingo Land 

 The theme park may be closed, but you can still discover a wonderland of family fun at Flamingo Land. If you are looking for a festive family day out, you can visit their award-winning zoo which is definitely not to be missed. With 140 species, the Flamingo Land Zoo is filled with exciting animals, great and small. There are countless Christmas activities to enjoy, from Ms Claus’ kitchen and merry marshmallow making to a Peter Rabbit meet & greet.

North Yorkshire Water Park 

 Now we know what you’re thinking, it’s too cold to go to a water park. Right? This is not just your ordinary water park; this one is for adventure seekers. There is something at North Yorkshire Water Park for all ages, with children’s rides and even a festive rock-climbing wall. If their rock-climbing wall is not enough of a thrill for you, then check out their zip line. Glide across 250 metres from a 42-foot-high tower and take in the beautiful sights as you glide.
