Bridlington: Winter Woodland at Sewerby Hall
Sewerby Hall and Gardens, a beautiful historical site the rest of the year, has become a winter wonderland once again. They’re presenting a narrative walking tour with lights, food and drink, facepainting, and a Nutcracker exhibition inside the house. This year’s theme is “Magical Christmas Rescue” and runs from December 8th-December 22nd.
Filey: The Fishtive Tree
The Fishtive Tree is one of those traditions that stems from silliness: a ‘tree’ made of crab pots and topped with a leaping fish, but locals have been having fin with the concept and now enjoy an entire festival around the lighting of the tree, with lobster exciting fireworks and entertainment to make the whole family happy as a clam. Come and sea what makes this event so special! The Fishtive Tree lights up at 6 PM on December 4th.
Scarborough: Peasholm Park Winter Lights Trail
Scarborough’s Peasholm Park is partnering with internationally renowned artists Beeldjutters, Lambert Kamps, Jon M Armstrong and more to dazzle guests with stunning sound and light displays. Pick up a lantern and stroll the park, taking in the sights of the season and the music of nature. The trail debuts November 15th and ends December 22nd.
Whitby: The Whitby Krampus Run
Whitby’s famous Krampus Run is back! Art collective Decadent Drawing’s beloved costume parade and citywide party combines ancient tradition, local folklore, and a whole lot of fun to raise funds for the Whitby Wildlife Sanctuary. Stay for the Krampus Charity Ball, which is raising funds for St. Catherine’s Hospice. The Krampus Run is taking place on December 2nd-3rd and is a free event.
Withernsea: Christmas in the Valley
Christmas comes to Withernsea with its annual Christmas in the Valley event in open-air venue Valley Gardens. Featuring entertainment, food, a holiday display, a lantern parade, and the Snow Queen herself, this family-friendly event runs from 4-6 PM on November 25th.
